KILMANNAN KILTY TAKES THE RIHS M&M CHAMPIONSHIP

Well dear old KILTY pulled it out the bag at the Royal International Horse Show this year, and after doing an absolutely brilliant show he won his section and then went on to take the overall championship.  Kilty owned by Angela and Claire Dawson has been with  for 4 years.  Following this result he made he way into the Horse and Hound, Showing World and was on the front cover of Chiltern and Thames Rider.  KILTY had already qualified for HOYs at Cheshire County

Our our Stallion ROTHERDALE YARIS attended the BSPS Summer championships where he won Red Division and was Champion.  He was also 2nd in the David Manning Champion of Champions too.

Good old CHARLIE - TOWNEND made a fab come back after being gelded and having 6 weeks off went to the Area 25 Show.  He won his section of the Peasedown qualifier and then took the championship.  Later that day he competed in the HOYs M&M class and to our surprise took the ticket.  We were over the moon as this is his first season under saddle.

The youngest ridden on the yard  the four year old LOCHLANDS PRINCE IGOR did extremely well at the NPS Championships.  He won his section of the Picton qualifier and went Champion.  He then went on to win his section of the HOYS qualifier, so is off to his first ever HOYS, not bad fo a 4 year old novice.(SHREK) as we called him has now unfortunately been sold with his HOYS ride and we will miss him immensely as he has been with us since he was a yearling.  I am sure he will give his new owners much fun.

Mary makes a debut after 25 years out of the ring and comes home with a first.

Well after not being able to sleep on the spur of the moment I decided to go to the local show with my Dream Pony Collenna Miss Unique.  She is a Yearling Section C which I bought on a whim and most definately do not regret.  We entered the youngstock class and the class was full. 21 entered of allsorts of ponies and horses.  Well I was pulled in 3rd and was taken aback when I was then moved up to first, even bought a tear to my eyes.  I havent competed myself for many years as I always call myself the back room girl, but say I really enjoyed my own special day....... MARY HOARE

A good day at Cheshire County

We have a very good day at Cheshire county. Kilmannan Kilty qualified for the Horse of The Year show.  Although it was expected seeing as he has never been out of the top six in all this year's Hoys classes, we were all over the moon and celebrated by supping pink champagne and a lovely picnic supplied by Angela.  Well done to our Kilty.

Rotherdale Yaris (Harry) we a really good being 2nd in his HOYS qualifng class out of 43 pre entered ponies.  He will not be doing many more qualifiers this year, but this is his first open season.

ROTHERDALE YARIS - Harry Makes His H&H Debut

Date: 02.06.2011

Rotherdale Yaris aka Harry made his first appearance in Horse and Hound this week.
As we mentioned in last weeks blog Aimee was Supreme of Show at NPS Area 11, Solihull, and so her and Harry are pictured in Horse and Hound in action, here is the write up.

“Aimee Hoare has won many supreme championships during her illustrious career, but few have given her more pleasure than victory here with the six-year-old section D stallion Rotherdale Yaris, who was bought by Aimee's mother Mary two years ago.
'He was very difficult to break and I couldn't get on him as he used to bolt. Even now, I have to use so much ringcraft as he is very quirky,' said Aimee.
Nonetheless, the pair have already collected two Hickstead tickets in both the open and young riders sections, and last year they won two Olympia qualifiers and a number of other championships.
'Its nice to see a cob that is up in front and no pushed out of its natural rhythm.' Said supreme judge Russell Marks.”

NPS Area 11

Aimee had a hugely successful Saturday at  Nps XI Solihull with her Welsh Section D Rotherdale Yaris aka Harry, who won his section of the Grand Prix and was Reserve Champion. He also won his section of the Peasedown and was Champion. He then went on to be Supreme of Show which is a huge achievement for a horse of his age.
Aimee also narrowly missed out with Kilty her extremely consistant Dales who was 2nd in his section of the Grand Prix.

 FOLLYWOOD BIRTHDAY GIRL (Sunshine)

A New Member Of The Family

Date: 01.06.2011

Aimee had the most fantastic surprise waiting for her on her birthday, a beautiful filly by Crugybar Mabon Mai (Mabon is the sire of the 2002 Prince of Wales Cup winner Gwynfaes Culhwch. He is also the sire of the double Royal Welsh winner Tymor The Tramp and Royal Welsh winners Tymor Pele and Tymor Lammtarra.) & out of Blaengwen Mel B who is a performance horse, she previously won the picton final and may be brought out again under saddle by Aimee.

Unfortunately Mel retained her afterbirth and had to be hospitalised for a few days, we are pleased to say she has since been given the all clear and foal and mum are back at home. She has been named Follywood Birthday Girl aka Sunshine, she was given this nickname as every time Mary sees her it lights her up.

Sunshine will be retained by us and will hopefully come out under saddle in the future with Aimee.

We think Sunshine will go liver chestnut but who knows? We will keep you updated with her progress.
