BSPS AREA 6 - 17th March 2007

We had a great day at the Show with Dior Marches On and Pentrepiod The Judge both picking up their Royal International Horse Show Tickets and 'Judge' taking Reserve Champion behind Lathehill Tzar.

Pentrepiod The Judge With Aimee.

We have been very lucky to acquire Pentrepiod The Judge who has proven to be a superb Section D with a lovely temperament to match. Although he can be a bit of a wally (understatement!!!!) on the odd occasion (usually in Picton Novice classes when I have a good judge) he still manages to perform like a gentleman in his Open classes considering he is still a big baby. His big wins this season include winning his Olympia section at The Royal Windsor where the Championship was in the evening performance which was an amazing experience.

He also won his Olympia sections at the East Anglia Native Show where he also won his Section D breed class where we got to compete in the Supreme against a ring full of fantastic Open ponies. This qualified him for the Welsh National Championship at the end of July.

At NPS Area 24 he managed to hold it together in the Picton Novice for the first time and take 2nd Place. Later on in the day he again won his Olympia section in a very strong class.

At Northleach Judge won his gelding Olympia class which I believe to be the strongest section. He then went Reserve Champion. So near but so far.

At NPS Area 25 he won his Picton Novice class and at last we have qualified for the one final we wanted.

The Judge at NPS Area 20

Judge again won his Olympia Section D class at NPS Area 20 and was 3rd at Kent County. As these shows were quite big and electric Judge enjoyed making my mum nervous by giving special performances around the back of the ring when the judge couldn't see.

At the Royal Welsh he was 3rd in the junior geldings class receiving the second highest conformation marks and giving the ride judge a nice 'first ridden' show. That was because he had used up all of his energy showing off around the outside of the ring!!!!!

PENTREPIOD THE JUDGE QUALIFIES FOR OLYMPIA 2005

Judge made the long journey of 14 hours up to Blair Castle, Scotland on Wednesday night. He was due to compete on Friday morning in the 5th class. I warmed him up at 9 o' clock and as i had another pony in just before him I got him ready early for mum to hold by the ring. As I'm cantering round she shouts something in but I don't quite catch it. Now lined up and the 1st to do my show I see her pacing around and around with Judge at walk and takes her own coat off to put over him (and trust me it was freezing.) Immediately I can tell there is something wrong, and I was right, he had colic for the 1st time.

As soon as I finish I hop on Judge and he is fine again. We are pulled in any order and I was 3rd to go. Not really nervous anymore as just concerned that Judge will be ok.

We get pulled to win and its off in the Championship. I've already been in this position 6 other times and can tell Judge was now getting sick of not being called forward, he is such a poser!!!! We all line up and then have to sit through 10 shows. As I do mine a jack russell enters the ring, just my luck but Judge is so tired from the journey he doesn't care.

The judge made her decision very quickly and didn't walk down the line for a final look. As I'm pulled forward I don't see my mum anywhere but finally when the card is signed she comes jumping out of the shop and up on to the benches in front of the ring and screams 'THANK YOU SCOTLAND'.

Judge is now on a well earned rest in the field and not really enjoying not having all the attention. He will be back up for a few winter shows before Olympia to check he still remembers how to behave.

Govener Of Whitefield

Govener Of Whitefield was 2nd at the highland pony show at Malvern and went on to stand Reserve Open Ridden Champion and Reserve supreme Ridden Champion.

He travelled up to Scotland with The Judge to compete at The Scottish Highland Show where he was 4th and was 3rd in his 1st Olympia class at The NPS Scottish finals.

At NPS Area 4 he was 6th in the Olympia class being the highest highland.

At the Ridgeway Show he was 2nd in the BSPS Novice Ridden.

He has already qualified for BSPS, PUK and NPS winter Champs in 2 shows

2007

Guinevere Of Whitefield

Guinevere Of Whitefield had a great start being 5th at the Spring Festival, 3rd at Royal Windsor, 4th at NPS Area 29 and 6th at Midland Counties in her Olympia classes.

She has already qualified for the Kingsford and is now on a well earned month off!! Sue Varlet plans to show her from home next year as she misses her company while she is away up here at Boarding School!!

Gwen exceeded all expectations at NPS Area 20 topping the line up of her FFrethi Intermediate Ridden and going on to stand Champion. From her owners reaction you would of thought she had won HOYS, such a nice feeling!!!!

Guinevere Of Whitefield excelled at Ponies Uk Champs winning the Dalkeith Junior Ridden Final. Ridden by Alice Wilson in a class of 30 they were pulled in any order. Poor Alice when her number was called out didn't know what to do!!!!

At Romsey Show she wiped the board with 1st and Reserve Champion in the Kingsford/Silver Medal and went on to win the Romsey Jubilee judged by celebrity judge Charlie Dimmock.

Popsters Debonair has been doing very well in her first 4 year old novice season. Winning the Confined Novice at her first winter show and standing Reserve supreme champion.

She qualified for the Picton at NPS Area 29 and at Area 25 she was 1st and Reserve Champion in her Picton Novice class. She is showing great improvement each time she goes to a show.
