STOP PRESS - Kilmannan Kilty wins the coveted RIHS M&M final and then proceeds to be champion, what a star.
Owner Anglea and Claire Dawson (Cheshire)

9 year old black gelding
Kilty was sent to me as a 6 year old owned by Vicki Hawkins-Smith. At the end of a successful 1st season and just missing out on HOYS qualification Vicki decided to sell him. Luckily he was bought by Angela and Claire Dawson who had bought a hombred pony FOLLYWOOD BEAU JANGLE from us in the past. We were very pleased when they decided to keep Kilty with me and I have now been producing Kilty for 4 years. He often goes home for a break where Claire enjoys hacking him out.
Kilty is a valuble member of the team because he is reliable and always gives his all. This year he has qualified for RIHS Open Ridden on his first attempt and was Champion and has now qualified for Horse of The Year Show. In 2009 and 2010 Kilty qualified for HOYS and in 2009 he was Reserve Supreme of Show at Ponies UK Summer Champs. Last year he exceeded all expectations and was Champion at Three Counties Show and qualified for Olympia at the NPS Summer Champs.
Lochlands Prince Igor (Shrek) - Owner Michelle Nelson (Swindon)
4 year old cream dun gelding
Shrek earned his name when he came to us as a 2 year old. He was owned by my good friend Vicki Hawkins-Smith whom had bought him as a foal. He was a big clumsy youngster and had a lot of bone and so he suited the name Shrek as he reminded me of the big loveable giant. Also the name Igor reminded me of an Ogre lol!! We decided to make Vicki an offer to buy him as we loved him. As he was so mature we decided to back him as a late 2 year old. He was a bit of a handful and I wanted to teach him the ground rules from a young age. At 3 Shrek spent the year being hacked out enjoying his youth. At the end of 2010 my sister Michelle who had once been interested in horses many years ago decided she would buy him and that I could continue to show him as we were in need of the money. As he had been broken at such a young age he was really going well and I was chomping at the bit to get him to a show, but obviously I had to wait until he was 4.
Finally he was 4 and we took him to his first show where he won both of his ridden classes and was Champion. He was then Champion at his second show and was proving to be unbeatable as a novice. He then went on to win Champion at PUK Winter Champs in the confined novice in hand final and at NPS Spring Festival he was Firle Novice Stud Ridden Champion. He has already had his picture in the horse and hound this year which is an achievement. He will be aimed at the NPS Summer Champs this year and a couple of HOYS qualifiers. STOP PRESS - Shrek qualified for HOYS at the NPS championships....... whooo hooooo
